// Just finished these boards for Paola Mendoza's upcoming short film which will air on PBS.  Working with her and James Adolphus on the project was an amazing experience.  Their love of story and cinematography really shows.  Also check out Paola's film Entre Nos, an inspiring film based on her life.

// This process follows the same guidelines as the previous process post.  I will post a digital drawing tutorial within the next few weeks that will really go into detail on drawing with a Wacom tablet.

Feeding Fish Storyboard Process

//This is my process for completing storyboards.  Just like any type of art it is always evolving and changing as I learn and develop new techniques.  Depending on the clients needs any one of these could be used as a finished storyboard.

First off I quickly thumbnail out the scenes as I read through the script just to get the ideas out there.  These quick drawings could be all that the project requires you just want to make sure they are readable.

If the job requires I will take it to the next stage by penciling...

...and then inking over those lines.

If needed I will quickly shade the drawing to show a contrast between the important subjects.

And finally render the scene by choosing the light source and shading in the drawing.
